Our team is a veritable melting pot, with people from all corners of the country and pretty much every walk of life. They do have some things in common, though: a passion for food and the uncanny knack for making your experience an amazing one. Chris Fuentes was born in Santa Clara, CA and moved to Colorado when he was young. He was in Greeley through high school and went to college at the University of Northern Colorado and Colorado University before moving to Orlando, FL after 2 years. He started with Levy Restaurants and managed locations for them for 3.5 years. Chris then was a partner at a medical consulting firm for 3 years before moving back into the hospitality industry as an AGM for clubs in Orlando. He moved back to Colorado to be closer to family and started with Tacos Tequila Whiskey in February 2014 as the AGM at York. In the fall of 2014 he was promoted and took over the GM position at Highlands. Since then he has had a very positive impact on top and bottom line numbers, as well as the overall culture of the staff. Chris’s management style is democratic – he makes his decisions with the company and staff in mind – and his strengths are patience, pragmatism, work ethic, and eye for detail.

I like to play video games.
Was born in Honduras, and grew up on the east coast in North Carolina. Been in the industry 23 years. I’ve worked both corporate and chef driven restaurants. Some of my memorable moments was when i opened 23 restaurants from the start and 2 cruise lines. Lots of work but great fun. The thing that keeps me driven in this business is meeting new people and being able to put a smile on their face. I see myself as a coach. I like to drive people to do things they feel they can not do or think they are not good at. I like to motivate my staff and most of all teach them new things that will make them successful.
